Hi..just introducing meself:
I'm from the tropical island of Singapore and have been a fan of Korg keyboards since they introduced the AI
system several years ago.
I have a Korg M1which I bought just based on the excellently sampled sounds. 3 years ago; I decided that I
needed a weighted 88key as I'm a piano based player and I got the i1 as it combines the flexibility of a fully
featured synth with sequencer together with a weighted keyboard...
I'm using cakewalk to sequence difficult things; but usually the on-board sequencer will do.
I noticed some mail re-garding finding the ideal piano sound on the i-series instruments.
I tried the program given by Pat and it sounds fabulous.
I'm just wondering..when playing the highest one / one-half octaves the damper doesn't seem to have any
effects on the notes (ie the notes cannot sustain when you depress the pedal- the lower octaves are fine).. is
this something inherent in the program or the sampling?
Also to you S'pore guys.. are there groups out there which are Korg fans / MIDI fans / composers etc is this
musically barren island of ours? If there are; I would like to hear from you.
Cheers.
